Wendy George

Wendy Georgegrew up fascinated by her mother’s art books – especially those featuring the portraits of Renoir and Vermeer.  She spent hours looking at the faces of people who were long gone but immortalized and captured in time through their portraits.  She went on to major in English, but her favorite classes were in art history and color theory.

After giving birth to two beautiful children, she took up photography as a way to capture their childhood.  Being a parent is often hectic and chaotic, and she felt it was important to document her children as they grew.  One day she was chasing a chubby toddler, and seemingly the next she was nagging her tween to get off the computer to do her homework.  If not for the photos, the years in between may have been altogether forgotten.

Wendy loves capturing moments in time; through portraits, generations down the road are able to look into the eyes of their grandmother as a child, a bride, a young mother.  Portraits bring family history to life.
